ToggleSDS

Toggle SDS is a batch toggle command for Subdivision Surface objects in Cinema 4D.

Main Features

Batch enable or disable Subdivision Surface (SDS) objects.

How to Use

Operation

Function

Direct Click

Batch enable or disable Subdivision Surface objects

Shift + Click

Uniformly toggle viewport subdivision level: 0 or 2

Alt + Click

Uniformly toggle render subdivision level: 0 or 2

Processing Range

  • With selected objects:
Processes SDS objects on the selected objects and their child hierarchies.

  • Without selected objects:
Processes all SDS objects in the entire scene.

  • Selecting a model object inside an SDS hierarchy:
The plugin will not automatically search upward for the parent SDS object.

Toggle Logic

The plugin sets all target SDS objects to the same state instead of individually reversing their current states:

  • If any target object is currently enabled, the operation will disable all targets.

  • Only when all target objects are disabled, the operation will enable all targets.

  • When viewport or render subdivision is re-enabled, the level will always be set to 2 and will not restore each object's previous subdivision level.

Notes

  • Enabling high subdivision levels for a large number of SDS objects may require additional time for Cinema 4D to rebuild the mesh.
